Egg-stra Special Thank You for Our St John Crews

The men and women of St John Ambulance NT are our heroes. Many of our mass participation events are reliant on having crews present in the event of an emergency.

We were saddened to hear that St John is st ruggling to sometimes respond to callouts and their members are suffering ongoing assaults.

We wanted to show our support and thank them for their work. Our Managing Director, Andrea Allen, played Easter bunny and delivered a couple of baskets of Easter Eggs to their Darwin Headquarters.

At only 8 years old Geddes has already represented the NT

Bask Event Management is so proud to have sponsored a young Territory lad in representing the NT at the Australian Junior 8 Ball Championships in Gladstone recently.

Chad Geddes is only 8 but won the right to play in the team after placing second in the Darwin under 12s competition.

Chad was super excited to represent the NT and we were just as excited to sponsor him to get to QLD.

He finished the competition in 11th place and was the youngest competitor.

We think Chad has a long way to go.

Darwin to host Championships for the first time

Bask Event Management is absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as the Event Manager for the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin from 18-24 May 2026. It will be the first time Darwin has hosted the competition and only the 8th time it has been held in Australia since its inception in 1990.

There will be 20 member countries, 3 affiliate countries and several South-East Asian countries taking part during the Northern Territory Dry Season.

The competition will be held at Arafura Stadium and hosted by Athletics Northern Territory.

Additional arenas are a hit at the Henley on Todd!

Maximus Henley on Todd Boat Regatta Expands

The Henley on Todd Boat Regatta had a shake-up in 2025 with Maximus coming on as the naming rights sponsor; the inclusion of two extra arenas running end to end to add to the mayhem and fun and; a new look VIP Yacht Club that meant spectators could be closer to the action.

The new and improved set up resulted in better viewing for spectators, more interaction and a better overall experience for everyone.

Bring on 2026. We can't wait to be involved again!

Another first for Bask Event Management

Sports and health and wellbeing events are our jam! So we are really pleased to be involved in the Mother's Day Classic Fun Run in Darwin for the first time in 2025.

With a 5km run, 5km walk and 2km walk there is something for all ages and abilities. We are proud to be involved in this fundraiser for breast and ovarian cancer.

40 Sports and 16,000 Athletes on the Gold Coast

One of the most exciting multi-sports events to take part in, let alone help deliver. These events don't happen without a LOT of planning and support. We were in the thick of it having to manage the almost 1,000 volunteers who helped out at sports venues, with officiating, as direction attendants, on the registration desks or at the information booth over the 10 days of the 2024 Pan Pacific Games on the Gold Coast. Our respect for volunteers rose a few levels!

Nusantara Foundation Brings Back Beloved Event

After an enforced hiatus due to COVID-19, Nusantara Foundation revitalised the very popular annual Pesona Indonesia Festival at the Darwin Waterfront. It was a beautiful, colourful event filled with music, song and dance .... not to mention delicious cuisine. A stage on the beautiful lagoon lawns was the perfect backdrop for the many different Indonesian regions who were represented. The concert was live-streamed internationally - the first time a cultural event in Darwin has been open to viewers around the world.

Wow! With only 6 weeks planning, we pulled off the Henley on Todd Boat Regatta 2024. It was a mini version but we did it. So many moving parts, so many permits and approvals, so much infrastructure, so much machinery, so many volunteers.

The Henley on Todd Inc Committee were a pleasure to work with.

We've been contracted to deliver the 2025 event. With 10 months planning this time, it'll be AWESOME.

Winning! Literally!! Entry numbers rose from 47,755 in 2023 to 55,669 in 2024. This is a MASSIVE road race. We were behind the scenes, answering calls, helping with registrations and generally troubleshooting with the public. This has become our favourite annual Queensland event.

Minor sports feature on winners' podium

The inaugural REPRESENT! Indigenous Sports Awards saw a list of well deserving Indigenous sportsmen and women, leaders and volunteers acknowledged and celebrated for their achievements. Minor sports featured heavily among the finalists with many taking out the coveted prize. Entries were received from across the Northern Territory with two winners from Alice Springs.

The 2023 winners were:

Charlie King Indigenous Inspirational Sporting Leader of the Year - Timmy Duggan (Hoops4Health)

Indigenous Junior Sportswoman of the Year - Lalwa May (Equestrian)

2023 NT Junior Barra Classic

Cracking day with a haul of 33 fish

Eighty one junior anglers from around the country descended on the Banyan Farm at Daly River for the NT Junior Barra Classic 2023.

There were some decent sized barra caught with the top 10 biggest fish ranging from 79cm to 93cm.

Emma Shields took out the top prize with her 93cm catch. She was stoked and already looking forward to the 2024 Junior Classic.

Territory Q Magazine's quarterly edition shines a light on our latest brainchild - the Northern Territory's very own Indigenous Sports Awards. You can read the story here: BASKING IN SPORTING GLORY » Territory Q .

We're also on the lookout for sponsors to help host the event and support our charity partner, the No More Campaign.

NT City to Surf Turns 50!

It’s a very special year for the NT City2Surf with the 50th edition in 2023.

We are thrilled to be helping Athletics NT to make this iconic run bigger and better on the 4 June.

Participants range from walkers to fun runners and the more serious marathon competitors. The route begins on Darwin’s picturesque Esplanade before winding its way through the outer suburbs and ending at the scenic Nightcliff foreshore.

The Administrator, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM has agreed to be the event’s new Patron.

There’ll be prizes galore and we’re working on a very special announcement.

2023 NT Barra Classic and Junior Classic

We are proud to partner with the Darwin Game Fishing Club (DGFC) again in 2023 to deliver the week-long event on the Daly River.

We’re supporting DGFC and more than 50 teams fishing the competition from 1 to 5 May, as well as the Junior Classic on 29 April.

There’s so much happening:

Fishing throughout the day
Awarding of Champion Angler
Dozens of raffle prizes
Fishing talks
Entertainment in the evenings

Under 15 Australian Hockey Championships

The best and the brightest young hockey players are coming to Darwin from the 15-21 April.

We’re working with Hockey NT to host nearly 30 games at the Marrara Hockey Stadium.

In between helping to make the event run smoothly, we’ll be on the sidelines checking out all of the action. Can the NT take out the championships?
